What can I do when I travel to Ghana?
By Danny Know of Opmax Thailand, SEO Bangkok
Go to the Mole State Park in Ghana in a walking safari in pursuit of elephants and antelopes. In between you have some time to enjoy the pretty view of a lake where the animals go for drinking in the dry season. You leave the dry Sahel with its Muslim population behind you and travel to a fruitful environment with cocoa plantations. From Cape Coast you may visit the Kakum Countrywide Park, the last piece of rainforest of Ghana. You can literally look down on the rainforest from the Cover Walkway, a rope bridge at thirty meter height, attached to massive trees. In the harbors of Cape Coast and Elmina, 2 lively beach resorts on the Gulf of Guinea, there are colorful boats to catch fish that at once on the beach is traded. The coast is also home to the slave forts from that the previous slaves to the opposite side of the Earth were transported. You can continue late into the night dancing on the bright West African high life music. The outsider will be in a position to see this nowhere stronger than at any of the many holidays which, play almost the entire year, somewhere in the country. The Ashanti, who live in the middle of the country around their capital, Kumasi, have kept most of their daily habits. Long time they were leading the state in the area and they remain a proud and assured country. In and around Kumasi there are lots of reminders of their glory years in the 18th and early 19th century. The British had some significant late 19th century wars to extend the Ashanti Empire last authority under the UK market. Everywhere in Ghana you'll be able to find handiwork, if it is weaving, braiding, pottery or wood working. Kent includes really long and narrow flaps artfully woven fabric together into a bigger full. The standard local dances are held to revere Ghanaians but also achieve success in developing new dances. There's also a lot gospel, not a miracle in such a non secular country like Ghana. The Republic of Ghana is found on the Gulf of Guinea in West Africa, a few degrees north of the equator and the middle of the 0-meridian. It is a relatively flat land, but in the east there are some mountain tops that rise up to 800 or 900 meter. The landscape in the east is controlled by the great Lake Volta, the biggest lake on the planet. The influence of the sea is obviously obvious in the south, with around thirty degrees it generally still is less hotter than in the drier north. In the wintertime the time difference is one hour and in the summertime two hours. |
